Team Training

One of the most important aspects of squash is keeping fit and it is necessary to keep in touch with the game as often as possible in order to stay in good condition.

Team training is from 6 - 7:30pm on Mondays and this generally involves sprints, stamina-building exercises and routine squash matches. Utmost dedication is expected from team members so that a strong degree of team-spirit is maintained in order to boost the chances of success in the BUCS league. The team will not be picked on ability alone, but other factors taken into consideration are dedication, performance in training and overall attitude towards the club.

Social training is from 7:30 - 9pm on Mondays and offers a chance for any club members to play friendly matches and games of three-quarters in order to maintain fitness levels and have fun! A lot of the team will also stick around and play with the social players which will help their development in the sport. Training will also be offered to the social players if they wish it, so you can choose to just play friendly games and have fun, or to train hard and develop better!
